The Holy pilgrimage is taken up by Muslims during the pious and holy month of Ramadan. It is a five days pilgrimage to Mecca and other holy sites in Saudi Arabia. It is the largest gathering of devotees in the world. People undertake this pilgrimage as a ritual considering it will bring greater humility and unity among the community.Hajj is considered to be among the five pillars of Muslim, which every financially and physically capable individual is expected to perform.
The Purpose of Hajj
The main purpose of the pilgrimage is considered as a chance to wipe past sins, repent and start anew. Every year, many people seek the journey to Mecca to deepen their faith.Although the visit to Mecca any time during the year is considered to be spiritually beneficial. For people willing to perform Hajj 2017, it would be useful for them to learn that it takes place during the last month of Islamic year called the month of Dhu-al-Hijja. The pilgrimage is said to be a command mentioned in The Holy Quran stating that Hajj is an obligation for every financially and physically able Muslim.
